Sean Kelly's -- A Public House

Sean Kelly's is owned and operated by Missoulians. Local real estate agent and Irishman, Tom Hilley, purchased Sean Kelly's around the time of St Patrick's Day, 2002. Tom had been in the Pub business for over 25 years, learning the trade by opening and operating a now infamous Montana landmark, The Garden Bar & Grill in Bigfork, Montana back in 1982. Sean Kelly's was established in 1998 and was named after the previous owner's Great-Grandfather, who lived in a small villlage outside Castletownbere in County Cork, Ireland. Sean Kelly was a supervisor in a lumber mill that milled timber for the copper mines in Ireland. As with most hard working Irishman, he enjoyed an occasional pint or two after work. Ironically, he never set foot in the U.S, yet, his name lives on in Missoula's favorite Irish Pub. Tom hired Chef, Dan Zachary to supervise the daily operations of the pub. Together, with a team of dedicated employees, they've crafted Sean Kelly's into a thriving business that is a warm, fun and friendly place to meet friends for delicious fresh food and lively spirits.
