Winvian, a one of a kind romantic luxury getaway set amidst 113 acres of nature and serenity, was created to recharge and indulge all of the senses in a unique way. It features 18 individually architecturally designed cottages and The Hadley Suite which complement our Spa, Restaurant and Gordon Brown House. All are nestled on a property that lures you with surprises, warmth and charm. Winvian is also the perfect environment to host your distinctive wedding day. Amenities do not get more thrilling than this: a 17,000 pound meticulously restored 1968 Sikorsky Sea King Pelican HH3F awaits your arrival in this cottage which resembles a hangar. Climb into the cockpit for a "flight of fancy", enjoy a drink in the fuselage or cozy up by the wood burning stove. This cottage evokes a genuine sense of wonder and amazement. Or, enjoy the Secret Society cottage! A very intimate cottage, secretive and mystical in look, this Greco-Egyptian style building is reminiscent of Yale's most famous secret society. At first glimpse the cottage appears nearly windowless. However, the mezzanine floor's master bedroom ceiling is a glass canopy. Lay back and relax while enjoying a view of the night sky like no other. Rather sleep up high? Spend the night i the incredible treehouse!  TREEHOUSEIn this suspended structure, architecture, animation and imagination blend to create a double-storied intimate space. The force behind such a structure depended on childhood fantasies and adventures, a time of clear values and simple dreams. To transform long lost memories and blend them into an adult haven was no simple task. We learned that the act of designing such a visionary space would take much more than bricks and mortar - it is an invention, molded to fit a very idyllic setting. Entering Winvian's Treehouse is like trespassing, like stumbling into a secret, high above ground, swinging in the breeze and granting an unadulterated look at nature. The full bar is just a bonus.
