“Changing the world, one bagel at a time”
Moscow Bagel & Deli was spawned on August 15th, 2006. His father is Jeff Smith (that's his real name) a.k.a "Smitty". Smitty is a handsome bald man from Ohio who woke up one night in a cold sweat and decided to quit his job, sell his house, and enter the world of the bagel sandwich. He could think of no better place on earth than Moscow, ID to start his family. This establishment is in no way a franchise, it goes beyond that. It is simply a bunch of friends that continue to do what was started many years ago. Moscow Bagel & Deli has a grandfather in Oxford, OH named Ned. Ned's strapping 37 year old boy is named Bagel & Deli (Miami University). Ned's adopted son Gary now helps raise his boy. Without gramps this shop would never have been conceived. Also, Moscow Bagel & Deli has two big, tough older brothers: the eldest, Chicago Bagel Authority (CBA), and the middle brother, Owen's Bagel & Deli in Charlotte, NC. Both brothers are delighted to have a new baby brother in the family (I think).
