We usually visit the aquarium in September while we are visiting family in CT. It's a little pricey but the kids always have a good time.
Definitely expensive but we had a good time. The positives: clean, well maintained, easy to park, the staff was very friendly, loved the outdoor and indoor spaces, the Beluga whales were amazing, loved the sea lion show and it was in walking distance to the Old Mystic village which made for a great full day. The negatives: it was toted as a "touch museum" but for a 4 year old the only thing to touch were the sting rays. The shark pool was way too deep for her to touch any of them, the crab touching area had all shells and not really anything else to touch, and the reptile area was for 5 and older which wasn't stated on the website when we bought tickets. Overall I would recommend it.
Admission prices are high for what little the aquarium offers in terms of exhibits, but this is a great place to spend an hour if you’re already in the Mystic area. Staff is very knowledgeable. I recommend going before they take down the dinosaur exhibit at the end of 2018.
Great aquarium at a good price. Facility was clean and well maintained. Friendly. Staff and knowledgeable people around to ask and answer question. Our 2 yo daughter loved Juno and the frogs.
