“experience the freshest wine in Napa”
If you are new to my wine tours, I take my guests to private wineries in Napa and Sonoma. What sets these wineries apart from the huge, mass-production and distribution wineries is that they produce very small amounts of wine with a sense of place, often down to the single vineyard producing the fruit. The winemakers adjust which oak barrels to use with each varietal and vintage the way a chef adjusts spices in a menu. Usually it is the owner or winemaker pouring the wine, the wines are exceptional and are priced at approximately half of any comparable wines from the commercial wineries. Tour cost is $140 per person + 7.5%. I pick you up at your wine country lodging or meeting place at 10 AM and have you back around 5 PM. We stop at a country market and everyone gets what they want and we picnic at a winery midday. Guests typicall spend an additional $40-50 on picnic food and gratuity. I customize your wine tasting tour to your varietal preferences. To get the most benefit from my tour, I recommend that you budget to purchase some wine at each winery ... some time in the future you will open one of the wines and the beautiful aroma will trigger your memory of sitting in the barrel-room of a charming winery here in wine country.
