As a youngster, we would go to Chapel Hill, Tennessee to visit family every summer. I remember being fascinated with the Southern food. Homemade Ice Cream, Country Ham (with red eyed gravy) right out of Uncle Earl's Ol Smoke House. All that was delicious, but the Southern Barbecue was always the main attraction. Smoked by my cousins Earl Jr. and James Pitts. I've learned from the ones that came before me, and get inspiration from many others, at the top of the list is my father Irvin Pitts Sr. He had a soul food restaurant on 18th & Broadway. (Irv's Lil Bowl Circa in the 1970's in Louisville, Ky.) Now, after a few competitions, many family cookouts, and some catering, I decided to give it a go. So far we're getting great reviews. I would like to invite you to give us a try.
