Has a feel of a military base because it is very big and old government looking building for bath houses. They have beach volleyball, game room. Dirty gravel road leads into campground. Lots of sites seem to be full time for the season. Hook ups are also on the opposite side for a lot of the sites. Not very private at all.

More of a full time Mobile Home Park than an overnight camping stay. The sites are nice and have space but just felt like a visitor to a neighborhood

The campground was clean, family friendly, clean bathrooms. Nice activities for all ages available. Nice location. Needs some serious updating on the camp wide ampage available. That said, most of the employees I encountered were jerks, ESPECIALLY the children's program coordinator, Gary. That man has ridiculous expectations for children on vacation. Most acted like you were a bother, or if there was an issue with the power they had no problem allowing their attitude to show. This was my first experience doing this kind of camping. I made the reservation months beforehand so I could get a spot by some seasonal friends. Apparently my camper pulled to many amps for that site but instead of saying that or even politely asking is to change spots, they gave us attitude for the first week. I probably won't go back to camp unless there is a positive change in the employees. By the way, if you hate your job, GET A NEW ONE!

We're using this as the base for visiting The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in Dearborn -- about 40 minute drive. Our experience with staff has been good. The park is almost 50 years old; folks are on waiting lists to get a seasonal space, the roads and spaces are gravel. We were only able to get a W/E site, but there is a dump, and a honeybucket visit can be arranged. Nights are quiet, children well-behaved. We're right across from a small lake with a sand beach and swimming area. Yes, we hear
children playing and laughing -- not a negative! Nights are quiet. I'll edit to post the rate. Good wifi.

Large campground with many lakes throughout property that provided nice walking conditions. Has a small nature trail. There are many areas with seasonal occupants. Our area was spacious with lots of grass. Campground is well maintained with brand new showers with ceramic tile. Staff was friendly. As with most campgrounds that provide electricity we could only run one appliance at a time. Good WiFi service. Would stay again.

Their pictures make this place look great but our experience was disappointing. I would use this place if I had too but it’s old, tired and not well maintained. Any one of these following issues could be ignored but together, they tell the underlying story. The road in was dirt with a few serious holes. Hit them and you’d be unhappy. The entire park is mostly dirt road, not clean gravel. Our site had no location flat enough for levelers. I had to use many inches of blocks under the levelers. My front tires are off the ground and the step is high off the ground. The power at the post is 103VAC. Had to use an Autoformer to run AC. My sewer exit is lower than most. The sewer drain was 10” off the ground and had no screw in feature for the 90deg into the pipe. The sewer was almost 20’ from the nearest, farthest back point of the rig. It was difficult to rig a way for the sewer hose to stay in the pipe. The run to the pipe was flat and sewage would barely run the 20’. Many of the sites were occupied by families for the summer. They book the season and use it when they can. They move their kids mess to their new outdoor living room. I don’t mid the kids and their play at all. I hate that the parents hang clothes, lay diaper bags and all their s..t all over their site. We asked for a new site but despite the fact that sites were empty, they were “full”. We full time and see maybe 50+ campgrounds a year. This is in my bottom 5.
