“Awaiting your visit since 1840”

Antoine's is America's oldest family run restaurant, home to many dishes such as Oyster Rockefeller, Pompano En Papillote, Eggs Sardou, and Oyster Foch. Antoine's Restaurant is located at 713 Saint Louis St, between Bourbon and Royal streets, 5 blocks from Canal Street, in the heart of the French Quarter.

Just a quick walk from nearly anywhere in the Quarter, Antoine's Restaurant awaits your visit.

Established in 1840, Antoine's is the country's oldest family-run restaurant. It was spring in 1840, when New Orleans was queen city of the Mississippi River, when cotton was king and French gentlemen settled their differences under the oaks with pistols for two and coffee for one. "Dixie" had not yet been written, destined to become the marching anthem for Confederate forces in the War Between the States.

This was the city young Antoine Alciatore adopted, after two frustrating years in New York, to establish a restaurant that would endure under his family's direction for more than 150 years and set the standard that has made New Orleans one of the great dining centers of the world.

This is seriously the freshest food I have ever had.the entire menu is in french, so if you have trouble pronouncing it, don't worry, the waiters understand. It's pricey but it's worth every penny. You have to dress up really nice, they do have a dress code. You won't leave disappointed!

Amazing food. Everything you order is fresh and at it's best. There's a wine cellar, you can always ask the waiter if you want to see it. they also have multiple dining rooms, each one is different. It's really pricey but worth it.

I hear their steak is spectacular. You can reserve private dining rooms (apparently the Tabasco Room is pretty sweet) and service is spot-on.
