I'd recommend this place anytime
Fabulous po'boys and best bread pudding I've had in New Orleans. I've always gone for the seafood, but my friends swear by their roasted meats. Can be crowded, so patience may be necessary. Very casual atmosphere.
Delicious po'boys! Most po'boys have some kind of fried seafood on them, but at Mother's they have a huge variety, some with seafood and some without. They also have all of the New Orleans specials that you'd expect. The atmosphere was almost like an old-school cafeteria-style restaurant or something The downside: There can be very long lines that stretch outside and the restaurant gets crowded (I think they even had to have someone sitting outside the front door to let you in so the restaurant didn't get too overcrowded).
