“Your favorite family-owned candy store”
Welcome to Southern Candymakers, your favorite family-owned candy store making fresh delicious candy from the French Quarter for the past two decades. When you walk in the door of our Decatur St. shops, the first things you see are our fresh pralines being scooped onto a marble slab, molten hot toffee being expertly dolloped onto parchment. On the other side of the store, you’ll find our chocolate kitchen where you can see our Candymakers pouring out fresh batches of caramel to create our tortues, scooping out hundreds of nut clusters, hand-decorating chocolate frogs and alligators, or dipping the discs of toffee in chocolate and sprinkling them with nuts. Even as our business grows, our methods and our mission remain the same. We promise to bring you the freshest, most delicious candy, all made by hand, from scratch, by people who care. Come see us in the French Quarter and get your own sample of a praline or toffee, perhaps pick up one of our stellar caramels.
