“Places in New York, NY”
This bar has been to the seafloor and back. The Frying Pan is a historic lightship that spent up to three years at the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay before it was salvaged. Today the Frying Pan has retired to Chelsea Piers, where it acts as a bar, burger joint, and live open-air music venue loating on the river's edge. Board the boat on a warm day and enjoy a large pitcher of sangria (approximately $38) as you look out over the Hudson.
One of the best post-work casual spots in Chelsea to get dinner and a drink. Just make sure you don't get sea-sick! The upper deck is definitely the coolest spot to hang, but the awesome beer selection can and should be enjoyed anywhere on the barge. Great experience - hit it while it's still warm!
