“Where to get quality coffee”
Gasoline Alley takes its name from the area's status as a car repair district during the 1960s, and although the industrial-chic atmosphere remains, this area now provides a different kind of tune-up. Located in the wedge-shaped block where Lafayette Street and Broadway converge, entrances on each side of this café (and open windows in the summer) give the petite shop an open, airy feel. Baristas here are careful and serious, and the Intelligentsia espresso is dark and full-bodied. Cold kombucha is available on tap in rotating flavors - all are great palate-cleansers but mint-apple is particularly refreshing.
