This was the first New York home for respected Philadelphia roaster La Colombe and has since become a city favorite, with two more locations along Lafayette Street. Hugging the corner of a historic Tribeca building, this spot has a quiet, stately personality, with plenty of light streaming in through the expansive windows. The signature streamlined elegance of La Colombe’s other venues is also present here, with handmade cups, a polished wooden interior and twin Faema E61 espresso machines all making an appearance. This Tribeca location is the mama bear of the La Colombe New York family – smaller than the Noho shop, but bigger than the Soho location – and is a stylish spot to enjoy some of the best coffee in the city.

Had coffee time on a Sunday afternoon at La Colombe with my brother and mom. We ordered latte/cappucino, classics we enjoyed. The staff were friendly. Glad they're open later on Sundays as well. Read more
