“The most authentic mexican food in Cincy”
La Mexicana is the place to find authentic Mexican food in the Northern Kentucky area. Start it off with the green salsa and homemade chips, try the Birria (seasoned goat meat with Guajillo sauce) and wash it all down with a Coke (imported from Mexico) or horchata.
this place doesn't look like much from the street, and the atmosphere inside will remind you of a deli or some kind of sandwich shop, but the food is some of the best mexican style dining you will get in greater cincinnati. I love their tortas, which are massive and incredibly tasty. just typing about them makes me crave one. they also have mexican coke which is awesome for those of you soda freaks out there!
Try the goat taco, oh, and the al pastor. The guacamole is super fresh and delicious, too.
This place is authentic. I mean sheep brain taco authentic. Don't let that scare you though you won't eat a better taco for miles around.
La Mexicana is my go-to Mexican spot in the area. It's a no-frills, friendly, neighborhood spot serving up some of the best authentic Mexican food around. Chips and salsa come with your meal, and they've got some seriously huge margaritas if you're looking to spice up your weeknight. This place completely redefined the word "quesadilla" for me. No boring flour tortilla and shredded cheese here. At La Mexicana it's a giant crispy tortilla with melted cheese and whatever sort of meat or veggies you'd like. I prefer the veggie option that comes with beans and rice. It's awesome.
Probably one of the better Mexican places in the area. The food is on the greasy side but they have lots of Mexican fare that you won't find anywhere else - tacos de lengua, tacos al pastor, pozole, huitlacoche, the list goes on. There's a little grocery store in the back that sells fresh tortillas and lots of Mexican stuff that I have a hard time finding anywhere else.
Authentic is the best word for the place. Don't let the atmosphere persuade you not to walk in. They've got great burritos, and their chips are fried goodness. The salsa is fresh and satisfying as well. Woo!
The margs are nothing to write home about, but the tacos are super good. They're not fancy, but you can tell they're super fresh. I tried a bite of the brain taco. It was... fine. And cheap. I regret not getting a popsicle afterwards.
Best Tacos in the greater Cincinnati area. They've got Al Pastor - and that's rare around here. They've also got a decent selection of Mexican beers and some key local beers. Great salsa and classic fried chips that will turn your fingers greasy without you realizing it.
Top notch authentic Mexican food, if you're around the area make a stop into here and get some guac!
Get the flag burrito for awesome value. If willing to spend a bit more, get the flag enchiladas or shrimp fajitas
