“Authentic Italian food!”
Established in 1933 by Colonel and Mrs. Pompilio, the bar and restaurant became a regular stay for Northern Kentucky “characters” so prevalent in the area. During those early days, Pompilios developed the cornerstone of its lasting reputation for fine, authentic Italian food. Pompilio's was used as filming location in the 1988 film Rain Man.
The food was great here! I had a pesto dish that was so loaded with garlic it was incredible. My only complaints were they served Wonder bread with our meal. After heading this place had great Italian food I was expecting a nice bread to go with my pasta.
Lunch specials are cheap and you get to see a place in The Rain Man. Also cool when the old Italian guys are out back playing bocce ball.
Great spot for your go-to Italian dishes! The red sauce is amazing
One of the best places for everything Italian! Loved it, but be careful there can be a long wait on the weekends, but well worth it. Can't leave without trying the ravioli!
Lasagna on a lunch special is always amazing. Grab some tasty Italian tucked into the residential Newport, KY!
