“Western Pennsylvania’s most unique and historic winery”
The South Shore Wine Company was originally established by grape-growing pioneers William Griffith and Smith S. Hammond over 150 years ago. This must-see stone wine cellar, now home to the sister winery of Mazza Vineyards, stands testimony to the beginnings of the now flourishing grape and wine industry in Erie County. The combination of this beautiful and historical setting, paired with over 40 years of winemaking experience (and a wine selection unique to the location), beckons you to see and taste for yourself what one of the most unique wineries in the Lake Erie Region has to offer. Visit us in the warmer months and enjoy a glass of wine with some light café fare on our peaceful patio café, located above the wine cavern in the former South Shore Inn. Another portion of the old South Shore Inn has been renovated to make room for a banquet hall, available year round for small events & meetings.
