Phil and Linda Hopkins have been competing in world-class barbecue contests as Smokin’ Guns BBQ since 1997. They have competed in nearly 200 contests across 12 states. As members of the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) they are also certified barbecue judges. In 1999, Smokin’ Guns took the Grand Champion title at the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue contest. Competing against 41 other championship teams, they took 1st in brisket, 2nd in pork, and 5th in ribs. Linda also earned 4th place in the dessert category. Featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!

The TripleD Platter with baked beans and potato casserole was top notch. The Burnt Ends/Smoked Turkey/Brisket was first rate. The Mrs got the Burnt Ends Platter with onion rings and mac&cheese bites....no complaints there either! We had the BBQ nachos for an appetizer, very tasty! Read more
