“like grabbing a bite in Latin America”
Whether it is turning a traditional kugel dessert into a starch dish by adding wild canary mushrooms or accentuating a Thai grilled red snapper into a visually appetizing feast, there is one certainty to expect from his cuisine: the unexpected. With indubitably well-rounded skills, Michael can, and has, conquered different styles of food without compromise. Creating new and diverse dishes through inspiration as well as a natural awareness for food combinations, each must be prepared with just the right spice, vegetable, seasonal ingredient and attitude.
Seriously, the mimosas are crazy good because they're made with fresh juice. And save room for a dessert empanada...oh my goodness, so tasty. And if you get the arepas, get a side of plantains. I didn't even like plantains until I had them here!
I've only really been here for brunch, and it gets BUSY. Worth every second of the wait though. Before you even get to the food it's difficult to decide whether to get a Bloody Mary from the diy bar, or get one of their other custom cocktails of their own design.
Finally once you decide what you're drinking, the food is an equally difficult choice. I normally stick to the various arepas, but sometimes I'll branch out into getting some empanadas. You seriously can't go wrong.
