In 1933 when prohibition died liquors of all types could once again be purchased legally. Weeks after the demise of the no drinking law, Turk Allison opened Turk’s Inn in Nunica, Michigan. Turk's is now one of the oldest eateries in the area and most likely one of the oldest businesses in Ottawa County. Turk’s still remains in the original building and decorated with the same original wood carvings as it has for 75 years.
