“specializing in Napa Valley estate Sangiovese-based wines”
Villa Ragazzi is Gregory and Michaela Rodeno's micro-winery specializing in Napa Valley estate Sangiovese-based wines. Rodeno clone was the first Sangiovese planted in Napa Valley, in 1985. Farmed in the Rodeno family vineyard on a well-drained mountain site, it yields only 1-2 tons/acre. The resulting wines are consistently full-bodied, with good intensity and color; the bright acidity typical of this varietal assures food friendliness and at least a decade of cellaring potential. Currently on offer are 2010 Sangiovese, 2010 Faraona (a 75% Sangiovese/25% Cabernet super-Tuscan blend), and 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. All are 100% estate, 100% Napa Valley. The Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon are each 100% varietal. The Rodeno family will be delighted to hear from you. We can easily and quickly ship to you at a California address. Of course, it's faster, easier, cheaper, and more fun to come by and pick up your wine here in Napa Valley.
