Lovely scenery, clean air. Only drawback is that it's dry camping only, but water and sewer dump is available.

Great campsite with friendly fellow campers and camp site hosts. A short walk and you have a beautiful lake to look at and swim in and also a small grocery store close by.

Stayed three nights in late September. Weather was all over the place - full sun and temps in the low 70's and low 30's and snow three days later. The primitive campground itself is quite large ~ 130 sites, but feels smaller as most sites have decent privacy ... some more than others. The campground was mostly empty during our stay, which was great. Our site was #34.

The campground doesn't offer much in amenities, but there is all kinds of hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activity within minutes. In my opinion, the location is a very convenient launch site.

Sites are paved, level, and easily accessed. My only gripe is the price - $25 for no hook-ups, plus another $10 to dump is high.

Overall, a great campground.

First, the area is spectacular in natural beauty. June Lake is surrounded by rugged mountain peaks of the sierras. There are several nearby hikes, we went to Parker Lake which is 2 miles in and 2 miles out fairly easy hike. Extremely scenic with good fishing.

Oh Ridge campground is average, can't say anything bad about it but nothing really stood out either. There are no hookups, but water is available. There is a dump station with a seperate $10 fee. The sites were adequate in size but your neighbors are quite close.

June Lake Beach is part of the campground, although the rear loops where we were are a 10 minute walk to the lake and its beach.

Yosemite entrance gate is about 25 miles away, Yosemite valley is 80 miles. Great day trip.

After driving through most of the other NFS campgrounds in the area, I believe this is one of the best (for trailers larger than 20' or so) even though it is not perfect (Silver Lake CG also seems good). A majority of the sites are very close together with some sites almost sharing a sitting area (i.e. site #29 and #28 or are not level (i.e. will have an incline before getting to a relatively flat area) . Sites, #27 - #30 get some fantastic views as well as many of the Bear loop sites. Note the Bear loop sites are fairly short and won't fit every trailer/MH, although I did observe a large MH in site #12. There are water faucets on most if not all loops and flushable toilets. What makes this such a great campground are the views, you are camped on a ridge (of course) and the views even without a lake view are open and gorgeous. Site #27 will fit almost everyone and has a nice sitting area with no neighbors on one side. This campground does take reservations and is most likely full to the brim during the summer. I was here in October so really no neighbors and was peaceful. There is a lot of hiking (particularly hike to Parker Lake and other surrounding Lakes) as well as mountain and road biking.

I can't add that much more to the reviews already posted. We stayed in Duck 28 then decided to stay another night in an even better site Bear15. There are many hikes in the area but we opted to check out June Lake by bike on the loop road. Not being fishermen, we just went to Gull Lake ( the attached lake) for a mid ride drink. A very homey, down to earth marina where you can catch and wash fish or take out a variety of boats for reasonable prices. Walking to the beach was great in the morning and the evening. You might even get a passing bit of rain, have some deer friends join you for breakfast or meet close neighbors. Cell service was fine unless there is an outage like we had!

I agree that the view is nice, BUT when the campground is packed on weekends, you feel like your neighbors are sitting under your window... The flower petal disposition of the sites is strange since there is a lot of room for sites... The beach is beautiful (but dogs are not allowed) and you have to walk or drive down (no waterfront sites). No shower building, but we went ahead and used the coin-up showers of the very nearby RV park (1$ for a good 5 minutes). If you go there during the week or the off season and can pick a site that is a little more isolated, you might enjoy this campground, but honestly, there are lots of free camping spots in the area that are much nicer. Oh and it's cheaper when you reserve online ($24 instead of $27) for once!

We had a blast here. Our kids (Twin 14yr olds & 2yr old) loved it. Our boys rode their bikes all over the place and to the lake and back. The lake is beautiful and shallow for a long ways out. (Great for kids!) The sites are a little close, but can accommodate good sized rigs. If you don’t like families and kids everywhere, this place isn’t for you. But if you enjoy a fun/ active campground, this place is rad. A summer storm blew threw one afternoon and it was awesome.

The dump station is immaculate and the staff is friendly.

No hookups for E / W / S, but I knew that going in ... perfect location for using my solar panels ... moved them only once per day and had full sun almost all day. It was muggy due storms passing thru and smoky because of the Yosemite fire. Lots of families with lots of water toys. Clean bathrooms in the loop but no showers. Nice location for doing the June Lake Loop to see all 4 lakes in the immediate area. A couple of markets, both in the loop and in Lee Vining. Visited Mono Lake ... has a great visitor center!!

We arrived in early October without reservations but we're able to identify a spot with good solar and a reasonable approach for our 23 foot trailer.

Most sites and loops were off limits due to machine grinding every bit of ground cover, most likely due to fire hazard. Good bye sage, bitter rush, rabbit bush, poor rabbits, chipmunks and squirrels. These tightly packed sites will be even less private for many years to come.

The water was off for the day ( not told thus until AFTER we paid), so restrooms were locked. Today, restrooms are locked because windows and siding are being redone. I get that. However, if major projects are underway that affect the usefulness of the campground, there should be signs posted at the entrance and at the human-powered fee station.

It is a great location and wonderful proximity to the lake which during the off season is postcard perfect. I bet it's a zoo during the summer.

We had great Verizon signal and solar panels kept full which means we won't freeze tonight in the 24 degree Temps.

Approaches to many sites are steep steep steep so I can't imagine selecting a site ahead of time thru recreation.gov without a drive by first.
