Meditation Mount

Meditation Mount is a sacred site on 32 acres of land at the east end of the Ojai Valley in Southern California. The Mount is a remarkable place of peace and beauty. It is comprised of five separate buildings in and amongst extensive gardens. The premier structure is the auditorium featuring a mostly glass facade overlooking the Ojai Valley. Most large gatherings are held here. A meditation room is always open. The office building includes a classroom and a visitor lounge, which offers a reading library, tea, fresh water and a cozy space for relaxing. The remaining three buildings are residential, housing some staff and special overnight guests.  Creative Meditation Meditation Mount is part of a growing global network of groups and individuals who practice meditation as a service to humanity and the world.  Our commitment is to make the power of Meditation Mount available to people of all ages and backgrounds. Educational Initiatives We present a robust and relevant educational program that reflects the core work of the Mount. Courses, workshops and dialogues are in the areas of meditation training, spiritual leadership, soul centered living and the new economy. Land Stewardship As wise stewards of the land, we nurture and care for the land so that it may benefit our many visitors and groups. We honor the natural world by providing a sanctuary for visitors to connect to the sacred quality of all life. Our International Garden of Peace is offered for ceremonies, retreats, healing and for quiet reflection.  The Greening of the Mount Our goal is to be sustainable within three years with a minimum carbon footprint. With the appropriate funding in place, we plan to implement new green technologies in our existing buildings, demonstrate energy and water conservation and renewable energy. Through our conferences and educational programs, daily group meditations, website and events, we work to create a more compassionate and positive world.
