Historic Downtown Opelika is enjoying a return to the center of life in Opelika following several renovation projects that have turned our buildings and streets into a beautifully revitalized shopping district with a turn-of-the-century flair, and The Irish Bred Pub & Restaurant is proud to be the cornerstone of this restoration project. Built in the late 1800's, our building was once a pharmacy and the office of local physician, Dr. Byron Bruce. In August 2510 after exposing the brickwork created by Lee County Clay and salvaging and reclaiming the heart-pine wood floors and the original tin ceilings, our transformation was complete, and The Irish Bred Pub opened for business.
