Casa Mexicana

Casa Mexicana Restaurant was first established in 1991, but its roots are traced back to a small town in San Benito, Nuevo Leon, Mexico…formerly known as El Huisache.  Gonzalo and Maria Leticia (“Letty”) Valdez, owners of Casa Mexicana were both raised in this small town near Northern Mexico.  Letty grew up cooking in her home kitchen for her father Rafael Gomez, three brothers and two sisters, since the age of seven- learning the most authentic Mexican cuisine from her mother, Aurora Esther Gomez, grandmother Delfina Gomez and aunts.  Gonzalo grew up in the restaurant business alongside his father and mother – Guillermo and Maria del Socorro Valdez, who were involved with restaurants for many years and were known for having a heart for service.  Brothers, Gonzalo and Guillermo Valdez, along with their wives, Letty and Aurora Valdez started Casa Mexicana in 1991…20 years later, it is still going strong with many happy returning customers. With a talent for the kitchen and the right attitude for service, Gonzalo and Letty continue to run this family-based restaurant in Othello, Washington.  Their children, Valeria, Roberto and Jazmine help often. Here they have learned the value of community, fellowship and service.  The Valdez family welcomes you to what has become like their second home and hopes to continue forward with excellence to better serve the community of Othello as well as the Columbia Basin with a smile and great authentic, homemade Mexican food!
