El Porton

Super Dissapointed! We travel to this area for my husband's job every year. We ate here before, and it was really good! This time, we felt like the food was greasy, not as good, and was over priced. Last time we thought the beef empanadas were the best ever, but this time they were greasy, lacking meat, and we were just disappointed. The ham and cheese fresco arepa was not near as good as last time either. There was a lot of extra bread and not enough meat. The bollitas de papa rellenos were pretty good. The Cubano sandwich was good, but the sweet potato fries were soggy. Last time the fries were so good! They forgot our 2 pieces of tres leches cake ($12) and my husband had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to get them. They gave him a watered down mango drink for his trouble which we threw away. I really wanted to have the same experience as last time, but it wasn't even close. So based on the few times I've been here, they are inconsistent. Based on this time, I wouldn't eat here again.
