If sitting in a pine covered beer garden, sipping lovingly crafted microbrews with the San Juan's as your backdrop doesn't sound like paradise it's because you've never experienced it first hand! The waitresses couldn't have been any cooler and the food was obviously crafted by people with a passion for what they do. Can not wait to get back there and have some more of their "Wild Caught Salmon Fish and Chips"!

We had a great time visiting the Pagosa Brewing Co. while we were traveling through the area. Our waitress was wonderful and made the experience really great. We were able to sit inside and watch the Olympic Volleyball matches on the large screen TVs throughout the dining area.

We ordered the salmon tacos and the carnitas flatbread. The salmon tacos were very good with a nice balance of fish and other fillings. The overall flavor was wonderful, however, they tended to fall apart before you get to the end of each taco. The flatbread was amazing, full of flavors and a perfect thickness on the bread.

We also got the taster tray and was amazed at the variety of beers. We worked out way through the 14 different bears on the tray, finding some that we really liked, and others that we just could not finish the 4-ounce pour. Of the beers, we tried our three favorites were Lumbertown Lager, Rodeo Rider Red and the Salty Caramel Stout. The Poor Richards Ale should get an honorable mention as well because of its unique flavor profile.

This was a great place to visit but I did not fall in love with the beers as much as I would like to. There is certainly a lot of choices, but I was surprised that I did not like them more.
