“Relax in the rejuvenating waters of the hot springs!”

The Springs Resort & Spa is located on the banks of the San Juan River in downtown Pagosa Springs. Offering 23 naturally hot therapeutic mineral pools and a mineral water lap pool fed by the World's Deepest Geothermal Hot Spring. Temperatures range from 87–114°F. Mediterranean bathhouse, lockers, showers, towel/robe rentals, swim attire mandatory. The ancient native legend about the discovery of The Spring tells of a plague which devastated the tribe and thwarted the concoctions and powers of the Medicine Men. A plea to the gods was in order and the tribe gathered along the banks of the San Juan River to participate in prayer ceremonies and fire dances. They worshiped, prayed and danced until they all fell asleep from exhaustion. The next morning they awoke to the sounds of bubbling water coming from beneath the coals of their burned out ceremonial fires. They saw this as the gods' answer to their prayers and began to bath their sick bodies with the warm water. Suddenly their affliction was cured! They called the cauldron...Pag-Osah."Healing Waters", and the great Spring became a sacred place of peace and healing.

Stumbled upon this town accidentally on a road trip. Pagosa Springs is such an awesome small town in the Rockies. The people are friendly, they have cute shops, awesome food, amazing beer, the worlds deepest hot springs and the San Juan River. It is such a beautiful magical place full of nature we just had to stop. Spent one night at the Springs Resort where they have 23 hot spring pools you can soak in 24 hours a day if you are a resort guest. It is a little pricey but if you just stay one night it is totally worth it. It would cost you $50 for 2 people to enter the pools just one time so if you just stay the night at the resort you get way more benefits and you'd pay about as much as if you stayed off property and than paid for entrance to the pools. They also have a fire pit which is nice to sit and warm up at with some hot cocoa after a midnight soak. It is also right on the river walk where you can walk to town to the movies, dinner or shop. Check out RIff Raffs brewery they have awesome beer especially the El Duende (green chili) and the IPA! Riff also has some tasty food and different kinds of burgers like lamb, goat or beef and they are delicious. Stop in Pagosa Springs for the night and stay at the resort, you definitely won't regret it. Was a great way to recharge our batteries on a long road trip not to mention very romantic.

I love that they have day passes to the mineral springs. They're incredibly well cared for, and there are like, 20 that you can soak in.

We stayed at The Springs Resort and Spa over the Christmas holidays (2018) and it was wonderful! The beds were comfortable and the springs were amazing. There is a gated area for those guests that are staying on the property but you have access to the entire place. There are 23 separate "springs" with varying water temperatures. They have signs next to each one telling you the temperature. They also have day passes for guests that don't stay on the property. The property is centrally located to everything in town, we didn't drive anywhere in town we just walked. I would recommend this place to anyone!
