Absolutely loved that tram ride! Once we were at the top we took a nice hike! There is still snow in May so make sure you have closed toed shoes. Beautiful views, great hiking, and great customer service!

Planning is important
Went during winter... December. We're told before entering parking lot at bottom of hill it would be 4 hour wait... SHOUlD HAVE bought tickets for 4 hours later... didn't. We swung by on way out of town, figuring it would be less busy... still a 3 hour wait. We could have bought our tix earlier, went cruising and came back at our allotted time. Will do that next time.
If you're sensitive to altitude, need to prep somehow as the altitude change can make for an unfun time. If winter... dress in many layers... the temp change is dramatic once the sun goes down.

They are not pet friendly. You can't even go on the trails with your dog.

This place is great. The revolving car lets you see all of the different views as you are going up and down the mountain. It only rotates like 2 1/2 times so it's pretty slow. At the top, there is great hiking and a nice little gift shop. It's also a little cooler up top.

Awesome place. Been there twice, more than sure ill go a few more. In the winter it is COLD, in the summer it is HOT! Awesome scenery and beautiful walks and hikes. The peach pizza at the bar, a must have!

There's hiking and dining at the top (make a reservation if you're planning on eating at Peaks Restaurant). It's like, $24 or something like that person, so it isn't cheap, but if you make the most of your time there it's well worth it. And even if you are afraid of heights, don't let that stop you from riding up the mountain-- it's really not that scary.
