“one of the most scenic drives in the world”
17-Mile Drive is widely recognized as one of the most scenic drives in the world. The famous coastal landmark runs through Pacific Grove to Pebble Beach, from the dramatic Pacific coastline to the majestic Del Monte Forest. The awe-inspiring vistas and legendary sites can easily fill an entire day with exploration and discovery, although visitors with less time should not miss the opportunity to experience this wondrous journey as well. Marvel at some of nature’s treasures found along 17-Mile Drive including The Lone Cypress – one of California’s best-known landmarks – Spanish Bay, Cypress Point Lookout and Carmel Bay. You can also see the emerald fairways of The Links at Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill and the world-renowned Pebble Beach Golf Links.
The views were nice, but there is much more then this drive. It does cost $10 CASH. The only thing I found intriguing was the Cyprus tree. Skip this if you're on a limited basis. If you continue north make your way to Shark Fin Cove, a true hidden gem. Nothing against this drive if you're staying in the area but there is much more along the PCH
I wish I can go back again. Beautiful and peaceful.
great drive, the cyprus trees were my favorite!
This was a gorgeous drive! There was a $10 entry fee and many beautiful places to stop along the way. I will say that the rest of the drive along Highway 1 was more stunning, but this had better places to stop and walk around.
Stopped by here yesterday and it's $10.25 to enter. Plan on coming back another time.
The scenery and homes were beautiful. Was it worth $10.25 to drive the road, debatable.
Must not miss!! Beautiful drive with great stops along the way!
Nice views and nice beaches but it's not the end of the world if you miss this attraction
17 Mile Drive is a scenic road through Pebble Beach and Pacific Grove. There are loads of gorgeous trees along this drive, including a 5,300 acre Del Monte Forest Cypress trees.
“Carmel by the sea, Monterey by the smell and Pacific Grove by God;” it’s the old adage to describe the area. South of Monterey is the very beautiful, picturesque Pacific Grove. Seals rest upon the rocks and narrow sand beaches nestled between roaring waves and rugged landscape stand empty in early December. For $10.00, one can drive through the world renowned Pebble Beach golf course and it’s prestigious 17 Mile Drive where rows of mansions peer onto a glorious bay and sunset.
