I've been here twice and will be returning again this Summer.
The museum is done very well. It's refreshing to see Christians not apologizing for the biblical narrative. This museum does an excellent job of demonstrating how the total biblical account of history and the sum of empirical evidence can be harmonized without damage to either.
For the non-Christian who has only ever seen natural history from the perspective of Darwin - the Creation Museum will likely be a strange experience - though it is certainly not a 'weird place'. Your beliefs will be challenged, but you can go in knowing that the staff is very friendly and non-imposing. People are free to navigate the museum at their leisure. It is a professional atmosphere.
Things I recommend: Aside from the general tour and the planetarium (a cool experience), it is worth eating at the cafeteria (the food is great). Also, make sure to stroll through the gardens and visit the petting zoo: They have a zeedonk [zebra-donkey], a zorse [zebra-horse] and some other really cool animals.
