“Arizona's most authentic Old West town”

Located in North Phoenix, you'll visit over 90 acres of an old 1800's town, with no cars or smog! You will find authentic buildings and historically accurate reproductions. See the Opera House where Lilly Langtry sang; look through a rifle port in the actual cabin that survived Arizona's bloodiest range war; laugh your way through a "melodrama"; or browse through an 1890's dress shop and much more!

Worth the stop if you’ve never seen an old west town. Still, even on a Saturday the buildings are entirely locked and you peer through windows or doors that are opened but roped so you don’t enter. There was a fun hay maze and sand tubs for kids to ”pan” for gold. No guides, tour, experts, interactive period people. Just building outsides with signs- which were neat old buildings but not living history.

I've been here twice and both times were so much fun! The folks here really seem to care about preserving this historic time in American history. In my opinion, it's very worth the time and money, give yourself a few hours and dont go in the summer cause ya know walking in 110°+ is hell and just dont. November to May is prime time to go!

This was the perfect stop after driving. Very cool to see inside all of the buildings and reading about how each family and business worked. Larger than I expected and we enjoyed stretching our legs

A fun way to learn about Arizona history! Summer hours are 7am - 11 am otherwise the hours are 9am-4pm. There is an interactive map on their website (click twice on the buildings) so you can do a self-guided tour. The museum depends on volunteers to be docents. When I was there a blacksmith and a carpenter were working plus a costumed woman let us tour the Victorian House. But it’s a good idea to call first so you know if anyone is in the buildings. The buildings by themselves are very interesting- many 19th century originals!

Only bust on our trip from sea to shining sea...we got to museum expecting it to be open from 10am - 4pm. Sadly they close 11:00 during the summer months. Wish we had known. Road Trippers be aware, info incorrect.
