“delicious diner food”
The Welcome Diner is located on Roosevelt Street in the Garfield Neighborhood of Downtown Phoenix. It is a 9-stool Valentine Diner that was built in 1945 in Witchita, Kansas. It was later moved in 1955 to Williams, Arizona, where it was operated on Route 66 for 25 years. In 1980, the diner was moved to its current location on Roosevelt, although it remained vacant until its reopening as the Welcome Diner in early 2004.
God. This place looks so cool, mostly outdoor seating with trees and lights, it's open until 2am and it serves booze. Not just any booze but good beer and cocktails on par with something you'd find at a fancy bar. And the food, oh my god. The burger looked ridiculously good and my chicken biscuit was incredible. The poutine was a bit of a letdown but everything else was outstanding
