“this place rocks.”

Table Rock State Park fits the bill for the natural beauty attributed to scenic Highway 11. The towering mountain, which gives the park its name, serves as a backdrop for the 3,000 acre park and its facilities. Below this section of the Blue Ridge Mountains, South Carolina natives and visitors can enjoy Table Rock State Park cabins, a campground and an old-fashioned swimming hole on one of the park’s two lakes. Table Rock State Park hiking trails serve as an access point for the 80-mileFoothills Trail. South Carolina hikers can use to travel between several connected South Carolina State Parks. The Table Rock State Park hikingtrails take hikers past mountain streams and waterfalls to the tops of Pinnacle and Table Rock mountains. While the park is well known to outdoor enthusiasts for its natural features, Table Rock also has its place in history. Many of the Table Rock State Park cabins and other structures built by the CCC remain standing and are on the National Register of Historic Places.  HOURS AND ADMISSION Admission :  Memorial Day Saturday through the Sunday following Thanksgiving: $5 adults; $3.25 SC seniors (age 65 & older); $3/ child age 6-15; Free for children 5 and younger. Darrick creek trail is easier with lots of small falls. Table rock trail harder uphill the woke way up then downhill. Great in the fall

The lake is cool, but table rock itself is kind of disappointing. If you like views and long moderate difficulty hikes, then this is for you. Just keep in mind that it will eat up about 4 hours and if you make it worth the while, bring a small picnic and have lunch up there. Otherwise it's kind of boring, but I am a waterfall kind of guy so views don't do much for me.

So I wanted to go here for hiking and the only spot left was spot #2, not a good site except that it was near where the WiFi was located. But still, I did not like spot #2. There are better spots although I found driving the campground loop roads were sometimes tight and narrow. The sites vary in levelness and steepness. I think if you have a larger trailer you would be better staying near the lower part of the campground. Look at sites #40, 10 (pull-thru), 13, 18, or 72

The Table Rock trail is rocky in some places but I saw people of all ages doing it. Unfortunately, I fell, injuring my knee after Q-dog pulled me while on leash. Made it back to campsite but I was done hiking for about 3 weeks.

Note this is a very busy campground especially during college football season home games.

No cell or internet, park has limited WiFi.

We stayed here so we could visit nearby Sassafras Mountain, which is the highest point in South Carolina. We were there on a weekend in mid October, and the park was quite busy. However, the campground was quiet. The facilities were clean.

We just used this state park as a stopover, but weren't left with a great feeling. A few pretty ratty, possibly long term tenants, maybe some of the guys working on a renovation of a different part of the campground. Now, I love me a leveling challenge, but many of the sites were completely I workable with our 25' rig and the upper loop tricky to navigate.

We were actually able to squeeze a couple bars of Verizon out of our directional and 4G-M, but it was iffy. Not sure if the CG wifi was on, but we couldn't grab it. CG store and registration was only open weekends. We asked the host how to pay and got directions to someplace a couple miles up the road. That wasn't gonna happen.

We tried to take a little walk from the CG but the lake is nowhere close. The overflowing dump station on the way out was the final blow. Hopefully, someone would have a better experience at another time of year or with other folks around, but it was a rare 2-star experience for us!

I would give it 2.5 stars. Roads are very rough and tight in some spots. Sites are very tight. The bathhouses are old and not very clean. No wifi except for at the store. Limited LTE coverage. Very friendly and helpful staff. The park it's self is amazing with some great hiking! The park is what will bring us back not the campground.

Great place to camp with music in the lodge once a month, great trails to views and waterfalls nearby, a winery just down the road and a twisty road to Caesars Head State Park. Some sites are too small for large campers and RVs so check carefully using the you tube video before you go

Park is nice with good hiking trails and great views. Some of the sites are mostly level and some would be tough for rv leveling. Definitely check out the YouTube videos before booking a site.

Bathrooms were clean, toilet paper was hard as nails and no hand soap.

Very few sites for larger rigs. Had our RV been smaller, we would have had many site choices. The campgroud was quiet except for the usual weekend crowd. Also, dont expect too much in the way of getting anything done online and there is little signal and the wifi is subpar (surprise surprise surprise).

With that said, there is great hiking in the area around Table Rock!
