In 1959, Maurice Major opened a small restaurant in the quiet town of Pine Valley, California. He sold in 1961 and an expansion made seating possible for 100 guests. In 1989, after working here for several years starting as a dishwasher and working his way up, John Souza bought the establishment and made it into the current theme with 50's memorabilia. In 2003, the current owner went home to his wife and said 'the diner's up for sale. I think we should buy it because I'm there everyday for breakfast anyway!' They did just that. Today, the diner has been updated with more 50's style - boomerang Formica table tops & counter, black & white check flooring & favorite 50's comfort food. Our hours of operation are 6 am to 2 pm Monday-Wednesday and 6 am to 8 pm Thursday - Sunday. Bring your group and enjoy the atmosphere
