“Take a hike 200ft around the edge of the Tohickon Creek”
The High Rock Vista section of Ralph Stover State Park is found across Tory Rd from the main park. A small parking lot is located on Tory Rd and grants access to several hiking trails that feature vistas of the horseshoe'd section of Tohickon Creek. The main trails are 200ft above the creek and lead to three breath taking views as well as the main camp groud. Despite the elevation and some steep sections the hiking is pretty easy overall. Further, the site draws several bird watchers based on the species that populate the area. For the more daring there are several locations down by the water that allow for some very challenging rock climbing as well.
We visited the area directly across from the parking area. Views were not that awesome because they were blocked by many trees. The area along the fence line separating the cliff/rock area needs maintenance and could be hiker friendly. I did notice two memorials for those that lost their life in the area, RIP. It is a reminder to pay attention to safety rules and signs.
