“tucked away in the rolling highlands of southwest Ohio”
Tucked away in the rolling highlands of southwest Ohio, 1,058-acre Stonelick State Park offers a quiet retreat for visitors. The still waters of the lake and stately woodlands provide the setting for a host of outdoor recreational pursuits. Stonelick State Park lies within Clermont County, the eighth county established in the Northwest Territory. Settlement of the area began in 1798 when the towns of Bethel and Williamsburg were laid out. A considerable amount of the early settlers came from Kentucky, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Several clashes between the settlers and Indians occurred here as the area was situated between the Kentucky settlements south of the Ohio River and the Indian villages along the Little Miami River. Legendary frontiersmen, Daniel Boone and Simon Kenton, were among those involved in the conflicts. The town of nearby Milford was the site of the first Methodist church in Ohio. Francis McCormick, a pioneer Methodist preacher, organized the church in his cabin.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on November 10, 2021We live in Cincinnati, and we were looking for somewhere we could go camping for the weekend but still get back and forth for soccer games! Stonelick fit the bill. Only 30 min away for us, there are some very nice sites with grassy areas and lake views. We went kayaking. The camp store was small but sufficient. Camp hosts were wonderful when we needed help due to a blown tongue Jack fuse. Our site (site 12) was sloped pretty good but most were pretty level. On the positives for our site, we had a little lake view, and a large grassy area to play lots of games!

First time visiting here, campground was nearly full the first weekend of November as the weather was nice. Campsites are spaced out pretty well, and level. There were a few unlevel pads, but if you're in a tent the grass lot would be ok. Quite a few hiking trails, most people would probably drive to them as the park itself is large. We didn't check out the swimming area, but noticed a few boat ramps, one is in the campground. Groceries & other conveniences about 15 minutes away. This place is smaller than nearby East Fork SP, but we thought it was just as nice or better.

A pretty park with a great lake. Stonelick is a nice place to camp for a few days. It's bike-friendly, fun to fish at, and a peaceful canoeing or kayaking place.
