Sands Point is a village located at the northernmost tip of the Cow Neck Peninsula on the North Shore of Long Island in Nassau County, New York. As of the United States 2010 Census, the village population was 2,675. The Incorporated Village of Sands Point is in the Town of North Hempstead.
This place makes you feel you live in another century. Sands Point Preserve is a combination of sea, nature and history.
We followed the trails through the woods and experienced the silence and beauty nature offered us. While we looked at the ponds we could see turtles lying around.
When we left Sands Point Preserve, we went to Long Island beach and sat in order to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
