“a rustic, Roman inspired menu”
Our Roman inspired menu is simple and rustic with an emphasis on the best local produce and meats grown and raised by Pacific Northwest farmers and ranchers. A regional Italian wine list complements the spirit of the cuisine. A creative cocktail menu & extensive selection of amari and grappa are served from our beautiful marble bar. Salute!
The food is uniquely spectacular! If you are in the mood to try something new and different and likes the idea of food sampling/sharing with your party then this is the place to go and grub! P.S. Try the Farmhouse ale! One of the best beer I've tasted in life!
A simple, rustic, Roman-inspired menu with a focus on local meat and produce. Regional Italian wine list and creative cocktail menu.
Settle into a red leather banquette and order a house-made pasta (cooked al dente) and a meat-focused secondi, but don't skip the trio of salads—which might be beets, avocado, sesame and pickled peppers; red wheat, fiddleheads, salami, provolone piccante and pistachio; and celery, raisins, ricotta salata and almonds. Chef Joshua McFadden, formerly of Brooklyn's locavore pizzeria Franny's, elevates vegetables at this bustling trattoria, which is Stumptown Coffee founder Duane Sorenson's second Portland restaurant. Ever since Bon Appétit voted Ava Gene's one of America's Best New Restaurants, reservations have been hard to come by, so book well in advance.
