Biwa restaurant, in south east Portland, serves homestyle Japanese food including yakitori, handmade ramen and udon, and plenty of sake.

This izakaya, aka Japanese drinking and eating spot, has a grand sake list and a correspondingly thorough--and delicious--menu of dishes to soak up the booze. Grilled chicken hearts; fried kimchi; butterfish sashimi: There's a plate for every taste.
