While Gastro Mania takes inspiration from the vibrant food scene in Portland and the momentum that food trucks, gastro pubs, and breweries are enjoying, our concept reaches back to the good old tradition of fine dining and the quality of five-star restaurants. Chef Alex Nenchev decided to blend hip with his background as a classically trained Continental and Mediterranean executive chef, bringing the white table cloth standard to his food truck. His crafty and finessed gastronomy uses only fresh and local gourmet ingredients to deliver Mediterranean inspired delicatessens daily in Portland’s favorite casual trade mark – the four wheeler. Gastro Mania keeps things simple – delicately grilled seafood, crisp salads, herbs, lots of olive oil and lemon, and creative original sauces and marinades. We prep and cook everything the same day until we run out, and we start over the next day. We enjoy serving from the truck, but we treat our operation with a top-chef zeal and fidelity to fine dining. Very soon we will be serving Gelato to further indulge yourself with a sinful, and refreshing dessert after your meal. Fast and fine can go together – come and treat yourself.
