“Have a beer.. in church!”
Maybe you have heard of this phenomenon and maybe you haven't? If you have experienced the beauty and contagious joy that comes from singing old beloved hymns with sloppy “jalopy gospel” grooves, on or off key, you have more than likely been changed by the experience! It's not in the beer or the hymn, but in reigniting the joy of communal singing. This is a Family Friendly Event! Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks available. The suggested donation of $5 benefits the Bridge Church. At the Bridge, Community is Key: singing, dancing, drumming, painting, writing, laughing, crying, praying, meditating, learning, teaching, playing, sharing, listening... We try to open ourselves up to full creativity, full giving of ourselves in worship to God, and see what God speaks back to us as individuals. People are not only allowed, but encouraged to worship/pray/meditate in whatever way they want. You deserve to be loved because you exist. And that love has to come without a price tag. There are a lot of artists in the Bridge community that should be heard. I list of links will be added soon.
