“22 acres of beauty”
Located west of Spokane Street, off 4th Avenue, this is a 22-acre park that includes three covered shelters, accessible paved pathways, historical interpretive signs, picnic shelters, restrooms, a playground, and scenic views of the dam and gorge. A fishing pond dedicated for youth & handicapped individuals is the centerpiece. An ADA compliant swing, designed for children with motor skill disabilities. The swing has a heavy-duty reclining seat, and can be transferred into easily from a wheel chair for up to 225 lbs. A great park for birthday parties or other small gatherings. Dogs Allowed on a leash.
We needed a rest stop on the way from Seattle to Montana, but ideally not a boring side of the road one - this came up as a highly rated park on Roadtrippers, we figured it must have a bathroom (it does). So glad we stopped, great place to walk the dogs (nice, wide, paved paths), get a little history and see something beautiful. It is only a quick trip off the freeway, so easy on and off. If this were my neighborhood park, I'd be there all the time!
Short ride from Rv resort to this park/falls with walking trail through park
This a great place to visit with more than a dam to see. There are several things to see with displays about the history and they are all short walks.
The park has potential but the dam gates aren't consistently open or even on a schedule so it was just a wall of rock when we were there but there were some nice benches to eat at and it wasn't a long walk
Nice park to stretch the legs and let the kids run around. It’s a short walk from the parking lot to the dam. Placards along the trail detail the history of the area. Restrooms and a small playground with monkey bars, a merry-go-round, swings (1 baby, 1 big-kid), and climbing structures are along the way.
I agree with others, this is a great place to stretch your legs for a 30 minute break, just minutes off the interstate. A nice, little park too.
First of all, I don’t know why it has apartments in the name because the apartments are on the right side of the street and the falls are on the left.
Bathrooms are pretty clean. Kid and pet friendly. Beautiful view! Worth a stop, especially if you’ve been driving for a while and need a short walk.

Beautiful park and spectacular views! Right off the freeway too!
