“created with a pile of junk wood!”
The Junk Dinosaur was created by Brian Boland. He recruited volunteers to help him transform a pile of scrap wood and create it into a huge junk dinosaur sculpture in 2010. What was created is Art, but without permits, it's threatened to be destroyed so check it out before it's gone!
As of August, 2018, it is totally in good condition and awesome! It’s such a strange and weird thing, a must see if you are in the area!
It has since collapsed :(
The Junk Dinosaur with baby is adorable. Under the neck of the mama are pictures of the construction and the letters from the county about burning it. Just down from the dinosaurs on the road toward the airport is a piano under a pergola. I didn't not check to see if it was functioning. The whole set up is whimsical and fun. Go see it :-)
