“Quiet, adult oriented”

Point of Rocks RV Park has been family owned and operated for decades.  With 96 sites, located only a few miles from downtown Prescott, we offer a great launching point for visiting the Prescott area and beyond!  Less than 1 hour from Jerome, Cottonwood, Sedona, Tuzigoot, Montezuma’s Castle, and more. Our park is a rustic park located in the heart of the Granite Dells.  A few minutes from Watson Lake Park, there are plenty of recreational opportunities available to visitors.  There’s so much to do in the area, and there’s plenty of beauty within the park itself!

The camp grounds were nice but very dusty. Arizona hasn't had much rain this year which doesn't help and makes the area a dust bowl. We loved the tree cover and the spaces, especially our second site (57). Arrival was easy; contact free. The bathrooms/showers down by the main entrance are awesome; resort quality.

Beware of site 49, there is a low hanging power line at the end of it and we were unable to get the dish up because of it.

Watson Lake, which beautiful, is a hot mess. You can't swim in it because of algae issues they are having and it smells horrible. We did rent a kayak for an hour but the water is so bad we cut the trip in half.

Pro's- Conveniently located, close & walking distance to Watson and Willow Lake, laundry was clean $1/load, $1/dry, kaya/SUP rentals on site. Easy check-in system they thought of & crew cruised around on the grounds. Sites were wide enough and mostly level. Our sites were right next to trail that led to Watson Lake (very handy).

Good trail network and the lakes were worth seeing. We visited 4 lakes. At Goldwater Lake there is free parking Wednesday.

Con's- very dusty, sites crowded but lines of brush between you and neighbor, its VERY dark inside the park so it's best if you don't arrive after dark if your not familiar with the layout. No pet area and there was aggressive dogs that shouldn't have been allowed in the park.

There is road noise from the road outside of the park was noisy from idiots gunning their motorcycle or vehicle.

No swimming in the lakes in the area.... not happy about that!

We stayed here for two nights on a mountain bike trip through the southwest. The site was close to the Watson Lake trails. They have a nice access point that was right next to our site. The site was level and well kept. The WiFi was reliable. The site we stayed in was very roomy. I would gladly stay here again.

This is one of our favorites now. It was our first time here and loved it. When first pulling in it didn’t look like much. Also depending on your site backing in may be tricky, we found others not following the map arrows and that would have made backing into our site easier.
Campsite was quiet and we didn’t see a lot of partying though we did see large group pull in the night before we left.
The hiking, or more like bouldering is amazing and so close to beautiful Watson Lake. No need to park at the lake and pay the fee, you literally can walk to it, it’s that close. We would definitely stay here again. We came in February.

Site 65 backed up against the rocks. Nice greenery on each side for a bit of privacy. Super clean showers. Staff helpful with maps, directions to bike trails. The town of Prescott is amazing. Tons of antique shoping, restaurants. But the hiking and bike trails are a must. We rode the Pevine trail, than cut over to the King's trail. The rock formations are amazing!

The campground was clean and convenient. Some sites have nice views out the back, but the sites are close to one another with very little vegetation to provide privacy.

Planned a weekend stay here for local youth soccer tournament and plan to return very soon! Beautiful setting amongst the rocks, perfectly placed sites and very friendly staff. I really liked that they have a picture of every single spot on their website, very helpful especially with a big RV. We had a 25’ trailer in tow and our spot accommodated it very well. 15 minutes to the main town, 5 minutes to 89a. Hiking trails were great, saw they even had kayak rentals for Lake Watson. Can not comment on the bathrooms as we did not use them BUT they had trash drop locations in multiple spots which was convenient. Look forward to visiting again!

This is our first stay at Pointed Rocks RV Park and we will definitely be back. The campground is situated among beautiful rock outcroppings and it’s a short walk to Watson Lake. The campground is quiet and everyone is very friendly.

The check-in process was all done on-line and over the phone due to the pandemic requirements. We showed up at 1:00pm and our information was posted on the bulletin board with a map detailing the best way to the site. Ours site had trees on both sides with plenty of privacy and there was a pleasant breeze blowing most of our stay.

The only issue is that it’s easy to miss the campground if your coming in from the north on Hwy 89 because the driveway is a left turn just past a curve in the road. However, there’s a traffic circle a quarter mile down the road and the return was very easy.

The laundry was a great deal at $1.00 wash and $1.00 to dry. The staff I spoke with on the phone were very helpful and friendly. Thanks everyone for making this a great stay!

Nice campground in the Granite Dells. Sites are pretty tight. Our big complaint is the dry dusty roads. Our coach and car looked like we had been boondocking for a week. They should oil or water the roads. Had cell service on Verizon. Quiet during the night. Close to town. Able to Mtn. Bike and gravel bike right from campground.

Nice campground to stay at. They personalize your own map and brochure when you stay with them which I thought was a nice touch. We were backed up against the rocks and it was a pretty premium RV site. There is a short walk to Watson lake where you can rent kayaks and paddleboards, and they bring the kayaks to you. The only downside is the bathrooms are a little outdated and could use some updating in the area we were staying.
