G Pub is such an awesome place. The place is spacious with booths, tables, an extensive bar, and pool tables, so it's great for both small and large groups. The atmosphere is loud but not overwhelming, and they've got a pretty extensive beer and cocktail menu. G Pub's food is excellent as well, including some ridiculously delicious nachos covered in cheese and pulled pork. Their standard burger comes with two patties and some basic trimmings, and costs $6.50 if you add cheese for an extra 50 cents. Definitely the best restaurant/pub I've been to in Providence so far.
I went to G Pub for the first time last night on the recommendation of a friend. It was great. The portions are gigantic. I was in a group of 4 split the calamari--yum!! but pretty fried in the scheme of calamari friedness, the nachos with pulled pork -- delicious too but the sour cream was overwhelming and I'd ask for no sour cream next time, and edamame --which I wouldn't get again because it has way too much garlic and soy sauce on it and I'm a salt only edamame mama. I then got a garden salad for dinner which was about 3 heads of lettace and I wasn't close to finishing, but you can always take it home. Their drink menu is fun and our waitress was wonderful. Definitely put it on the list of places to go in Providence! I hear they have a roofdeck too? But I didn't get to see it for myself.
Great vibe at G Pub. Basement bar that's pretty expansive with pool tables, booth seating, extensive bar, and bench-style seating. Went with 3 other people and received great service with delicious drinks. Their beer menu isn't as extensive as some other PVD bars, but they had good cocktail selection, hearty serving sizes, and the pulled pork nachos were intensely delicious!!
A really good time, especially with friends! The cocktails and beers were great, the waitress was awesome, the decor was cool, and the food was delicious. I definitely would recommend the nachos with pulled pork to share, and the caesar salad if you are into that (it's dressing is made with dijon and much better than your typical caesar). The TVs all around play sports games but it isn't distracting. Pick between sitting at the extensive bar, at a table, in a booth, or head over the the area with shuffle boards and pool tables. I'd definitely recommend GPub, and will be going back soon!
