“zoo for recovered rehabbed animals”
Working to protect our native Florida wildlife through rehabilitation, education and conservation efforts.
This a wonderful volunteer operation. Great for all ages.
We really enjoyed this. Next year they're building a new facility on more land to accommodate mammals too! It's a free will offering and their recommendation is $5 per adult and $3/ child. I love supporting places that don't charge an arm and a leg for entrance fees!! ❤ They gave info on all the animals and why they're there and the volunteers are very knowledgeable if you have any questions!
Do you love wildlife, especially Florida birds? This is the place to spend an afternoon. PRWC is a rehabilitation facility open to the public with great volunteers who offer education on the animals cared for there. Luna, the leucistic (white) Eastern Screech Owl is a local star. Say "Hello!" to the crows, and Spirit may answer back! They have a wish list of supplies needed updated often, if you are a generous person. http://peaceriverwildlifecenter.org/donate/wish-list/
There is no fee to visit, but donations are welcomed and very much appreciated.
