The North Carolina Museum of Art is an art museum in Raleigh, North Carolina, featuring paintings andsculpture representing 5,000 years of artistic work from antiquity to the present. The Museum features more than 40 galleries as well as more than a dozen works of art in its 164-acre (0.66 km2) Museum Park. West Building, completed in April 2010, holds the Museum’s permanent collection, and East Building features special exhibitions.
Gorgeous, well-curated art museum with over 40 different galleries, but it's absolutely worth calling ahead to see what kinds of rotating exhibits are going on.
