“Haunted by an unfortunate family”

This privately-owned 1890s Victorian mansion was built by David and Sarah Morey. About one year after David and Sarah moved into the house, Sarah died of a sudden illness. Grief-stricken, David Morey never stepped back into the house. He became alcoholic and moved into the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. Within a year he had committed suicide and was found hanging in his room. It is rumored that the room where Sarah died, the Blue Room, is haunted. The house was featured in the film Talk About a Stranger (1952) as the house of the character Dr. Paul Mahler, alias Matlock. Local tales hold that the bedroom where Sarah Morey died (her husband killed himself elsewhere a year later) in 1901, known as the Blue Room, is haunted. A 2009 episode of The Othersiders visited Morey Mansion and reported it as haunted. The team caught orbs, strange hot spots, and pictures of the initials S.M (Sarah Morey). The basement is also haunted as well as the Music Room, children's bedroom, grand staircase, library, and kitchen. The current residents of the house, however, have noticed no unusual activity.

Yes, the front part of the upstairs in haunted. I have seen her. She is very nice. We owned the house for years and many, many people saw her. We did not tell people in advance as we did not want to plant the idea in their heads. While not everyone sees her, while we had the Morey Mansion she was seen regularly. While she was often seen in the Blue Room, she was also seen in the Lomardi bedroom, which is the side bedroom with the bay window, which you can see in the photo.

your story is wrong he did not hang himself he committed suicide by shooting himself in his room at the Hotel Del Coronado Mrs Morey didn't die suddenly after moving in the home they lived there for ten years then she died and if she is going to haunt anywhere it would be in her beloved kitchen her favorite room in the house. the biggest problem with alot of these so called paranormal website that have all these stories about places they have never been or ever seen is that there stories are never written originally by them the old Copy and Paste ghost story sites. problem with that is if you see those same exact stories on different sights then people will believe weather it is true of not. All my facts on the information I just provide can be verified by calling the Redlands Daily Facts or The Daily Haunt News Service based in Redlands. I just happen to live down the street from this wonderful home haunted or not. Have a great weekend

This is a gorgeous mansion in pristine condition, the parking was a little tricky as it is on a residential street.
