“the premier Fine Dining & Live Entertainment venues”
Owners Peter & Angelica Cuschieri opened Angelicas in May 2013 as one of the premier Fine Dining & Live Entertainment venues in the San Francisco Peninsula area. There's only one place on the Peninsula where you can enjoy fine dining, fine dining with entertainment, a full bar, original live music, dance, and shows, and that's the new Angelicas in downtown Redwood City. Angelicas, opened in May 2013 by owners Peter and Angelica Cuschieri, is brand-new, in a space that was completely torn apart and renovated from top to bottom. From the sparkling chandeliers in the dining room, to the white marble-topped bar to the commissioned paintings from a Woodside artist lining the walls, the dinner club pays tribute to the charm of the 1930s. Tuesdays you can see some of the finest jazz in the Bay Area, as well as open mic jam sessions run by Pete Sommers, who has teamed up with the West Coast Songwriters Association. Celtic Wednesdays offer music and dancing, as well as comedy upstairs by Dan St. Paul, one of the region's better comedians. Thursdays is the Ladies free admission night for R&B Soul Train. Weekends pay host to an eclectic mix of quality entertainers, from Jazz, Latin Jazz, R&B, and Celtic bands to award-winning flamenco dancers. Angelicas executive chef Jeff Rodriguez has 30 years of experience and an impressive resume, having formerly worked at Kincaid's and House of Prime Rib in San Francisco. Highlights of the menu include, of course, his prime rib, as well as a lamb shank, macadamia nut brie and cheese appetizer, lunchtime crab sandwich and delicious desserts like a salted caramel cake and pumpkin cheesecake. It's a rare music venue where you can enjoy a meal and even bring your kids, but Angelicas is family-friendly, with offerings for everyone to enjoy. Enjoy lunch Tuesday through Friday and a happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. on the same days as well as a weekend brunch featuring $13 "bottomless" mimosas. The spectacular full bar offers an array of signature cocktails like the French 75 and the Pimm's Royale. (And don't worry, ladies, there are hooks underneath the bar for your purses!) You can also sit at the bar and enjoy a selection of tapas, such as sliders with Angus beef or grilled Portobello mushrooms. Whether you want to enjoy a quiet lunch or dinner, experience a dinner show in a real concert setting, relax at the bar, sit upstairs and laugh at a comedian or enjoy a romantic weekend brunch, Angelicas offers it all!
