There's a massive bridge right above the campground, which lights up blue at night. It's actually quite beautiful, but it also means a lot of busy traffic all night long.

The sites are expensive, no fires are allowed, and there are no hookups unless you go full hookups for even more cash. Tent sites are very close to one another. The beach is easily within walking distance, and is gorgeous, as well as pretty empty. It's also pack-it-in, pack-it-out, there are no trash cans at all anywhere in the park.

Staff was very, very friendly, and the entire experience was--for us--wonderful. Even at $39, it's less expensive than any hotel in Rehoboth, which run up to hundreds of dollars a night.

So in summary, we did enjoy our time here, but the price, no campfires, and the busy A1 traffic all make it hard to give it a much more positive review than this.

We stayed in the brand-new campground on the north side of the inlet, and we absolutely loved it here. Sites are paved and level with picnic tables. Many sites provide views of the Indian River Inlet. Site 452 is particularly spacious and has nice waterfront views.

The campground has a fantastic playground, a new bathhouse, and on-site (cheap!) laundry with nice new machines. The beach is just a quick walk away with pedestrian access under the Rt 1 bridge. Also within walking distance are a restaurant, marina, seafood market, and a bayside nature preserve.

Your campground parking pass grants admission to other Delaware state parks, such as nearby Cape Henlopen. Delaware Seashore State Park is a convenient base camp for exploring the coast from Cape May (via ferry) to Assateague Island National Seashore and all points in between.

Note: The address we stayed at was 39415 Inlet Rd., Rehoboth Beach (302) 539-7202 .

We stayed in the north campground. The only knock here is the tight configuration of sites with no chance of privacy. Nice level, paved, FHU sites, toilets/showers clean and fairly modern. Right on the Indian River Inlet, nice beach access, beautiful view of the bridge, particularly at sunrise. Central location for Rehoboth Beach, Fenwick Isle/Ocean City, as well as the Cape May-Lewes ferry. Being full time RVers the traffic noise from the bridge was not an issue, we've been in much louder traffic areas. Walking the beach at sunrise is awesome.

Just got done a stay on the north side--We have stayed numerous times and love everything about it. although this time $500 worth of fishing gear stolen in the middle of the night. My site and others. They should charge more and hire night security. If not the good customers will stop coming

One of our favorite campgrounds. Located right on the Inlet wtih spectacular views of the Blue Bridge and short walking distance from the beach and marina. Dogs welcomed on the North Inlet Beach.

Not the most beautiful campground. It’s basicaly a parking lot with no shade at all. No camp fire pits but I was told by staff that we could bring a camp fire pit with heat shield (not touching ground) and it would be allowed. Easy access to pristine beach. Awesome T-Mobile signals. 49mbps/26mbps. No Wifi.

This is basically a three star campground. But I gave it one more star for the accessibility of the beach.

Our check-in was a little haphazard. We arrived just before noon and the gentleman at the gatehouse checked us in. He assured us our site was empty since it was past checkout time. We went to our site and found someone parked there. The gatehouse couldn't do anything about it, the marina who oversees the operation wouldn't do anything. We talked to the occupants and it turned out checkout time was noon and we were early. It was not a big deal, but the gatehouse people should be better informed.

We stayed at the north campground. As others have stated, this campground is basically a large parking lot. There are small trees planted, but not big enough to offer any shade. The full hookups worked well. There is laundry on site which we took advantage of. The bathrooms were clean. We had a site right night to the Indian River which was nice.

The big attractions here are the beach and fishing. Otherwise, there isn't much to do. I wouldn't want to spend a week here, but it was good for 2 nights.

I was expecting more of a parking lot feel with no character after reading other reviews and while it is open and not very private, it was a lot nicer than I expected. We stayed in the North campground. 50 amp FHU back in. Nice level asphalt sites, strong power and a decent amount of space for sitting out. Cell was good with ATT @ 17 d/l and Verizion @ 9 d/l unboosted. T mobile was too slow to be usable but I didn't bother trying a booster.
There was plenty of OTA channels. The bathrooms are new and clean with large showers. There is a clean laundry on site with a couple of double sized washers and dryers which is a nice perk for a state park.
There are really nice paved walking paths which you can take directly to a dog friendly beach.
There's a ton to do in area. Cape Henlopen State Park has a lot of hiking and biking and there are multiple beach towns close by. Rehoboth is cool but so is Beverly Beach. There are boardwalks and tons of fun shops and restaurants. It's a great location because 15 min south is Beverly Beach and 15 minutes north is Rehoboth.
Beware of the onsite hiking trail (Burton Nature Trail). We attempted this the last week of May and were literally swarmed by thousands of mosquitoes and had to turn back. I never bailed on a hike that fast before.

Stayed over Labor Day weekend. Campgrounds on the South Inlet are pull through - but don’t be fooled - the North Inlet sites are bigger, more grass, better drainage, and newer. This was our first stay at a campground site with this many campers, felt a little like being on the infield at a NASCAR race. Campers were super friendly, the beach and fishing are within walking distance. Camp host were friendly and helpful. We had good phone service (Verizon). Bathhouses had push button showers - just a little frustrating - but the bathhouses near the tent campers had normal showers. Only real complaint would be that sites to not drain well and became lakes after a rain.

This was our first trip here and we love everything about this campground. My wife and kids loved the fact that they could walk to the beach and I like how peaceful the campground was. There is some noise from the occasional load car showing off going up the highway but for the most part it was quite. Fishing was fun to do on the inlet and the people were friendly. If I had one complaint it would be that the paved pads could be just a bit wider. I only complain because the one night it rained the ground outside my steps turned muddy which made it hard to come and go without getting feet muddy / sandy.
